The Landmark  Baku is pleased to announce  the concert of Eduardo Bortolotti.  The event organized by the Embassy of Mexico in Azerbaijan in collaboration  with The Landmark.

Eduardo Bortolotti is a composer and violin player originating from Puebla, Mexico. He started his professional education at the Benemerita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. In 2012 moved to Poland to continue his studies at the Silesian University in Katowice specialising in musical education and jazz music. In 2017 started also his second master degree  on jazz violin at the Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland.

Eduardo has participated in various concerts playing traditional Mexican music in countries such as the Czech Republic, Poland, Turkey and Cyprus. 

As a teacher, Eduardo has provided many different music workshops, but the last one and personally most important, was in 2017 for the students of the University of Puebla, Mexico. Place where he started and now had the opportunity to come back as a teacher and share the knowledge learned through these years.

In November 2016 was finalist of the 9th Grupa Azoty Jazz Contest in Tarnów, Poland. On October 2017 in Tarnowskie Góry (PL), was also finalist with special distinction at  “Muzyka na Plan”, competition for composition and improvisation on silent movies.

Eduardo takes part in numerous courses and workshops searching for professional and musical development, for example in the Barcelona Fiddle Congress 2013 and 2016 (Barcelona, Spain), International Summer Jazz Academy 2014 (Kraków, Poland), Urbanator Days 2014 (Warsaw, Poland) and the last summer at the Zbigniew Seifert Workshops 2017 (Luslawice, Poland). 

Currently the leading academic tutor of Eduardo is the professor Henryk Gembalski at the Jazz Academy and before with dr Marcin Hałat at the University of Silesia where he finished his master degree. Additionally he has taken master classes with well-known jazz violinists such as Mark Felman, Mario Forte,  Oriol Saña, Jason Anick, Darol Anger, Dominik Bienczycki, and Michał Urbaniak to mention among others.
